Job description

The Accounts Payable and Payments Officer is responsible for full accounts payable cycle, purchasing policy support and payments. As part of the larger team position coordinates with relevant accountants to ensure smooth process in these areas. Join our growing international team and help us with the energy transition!

What you will do

  • Process invoices using Scan & Capture setup in NetSuite

  • Prepare payment proposals efficiently utilising payment terms and business needs

  • Prepare the payments using Electronic File Transfer (EFT) and manually as needed 

  • Manage card requests, issuance and related data sync from expense management platform (Yokoy) to NetSuite

  • Validate and import expense claims and card transactions from Yokoy to NetSuite

  • Coordinate business owner approvals for timely period closures and accruals with the Accounting team 

  • Support Purchasing process in collaboration with legal and compliance teams

  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive supplier relationships 

  • Maintain vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and tax information

  • Support your colleagues with expense claims, invoices, or payment questions

Job requirements

What you will need

  • Extensive experience with Accounts Payable processing and payments

  • Knowledge of different payment formats and relevant requirements

  • Strong knowledge and experience with generating EFTs is a must 

  • Long-term interest in Accounts Payable and payment processing management

  • Comfortable working with multi-language invoices and managing country specific information capture 

  • Familiarity with various banking platforms is nice to have  

  • Ability to work within Google Suite as well as NetSuite experience would be a plus

  • Knowledge of Yokoy is nice to have but not essential, any experience with expense management platforms would be considered an advantage

  • Regulatory knowledge would be a plus; understanding of compliance regulations such as AML and KYC ensures effective risk management in payment processing

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify, investigate, and potentially resolve issues effectively

  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Other languages, especially Greek or any of the Nordic languages, are nice to have but not essential

Compensation

At Sympower, we believe in fair and transparent pay.

Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, and competence. We have four geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: €22,000 - €41,000

Zone B: €26,000 - €58,000

Zone C: €32,000 - €56,000

Zone D: €36,000 - €66,000
