Job description
We are looking for a talented Technical Sales Engineer to join Sympower's expanding team in Sweden. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you are an essential part of the Sympower team in establishing the connection between the assets used for demand response and our platform. You will define the link between our system and the customer’s processes. You will also ensure that this setup will work about the performance requirements of the intended demand response market. This is done by knowing our platform’s key properties and strengths and collaborating with our customers’ technical counterparts to understand their processes and the flexibility potential. Based on the candidate's wishes, this role can quickly be developed to involve more work in technical sales.
Demand-side flexibility markets have been growing in the Nordics since first opening in Finland in 2017 and in Sweden in 2019. Sympower is the leading demand response provider in the Nordics. Job requirements
What you’ll do:
Work with our customers in Sweden to identify suitable processes to be controlled and specify hardware implementations
Specify our hardware installations at our customers and instruct installers how to use our hardware
Execute tests and analyze results to ensure technical performance as part of the internal requirements and prequalification requirements from external parties (TSOs, DSOs, etc.)
Manage and maintain the existing installations at our customers
Provide technical support during customer acquisition, both technical pre-sales and sales work
Collaborate with our team of software developers in technical development
What you'll need:
Bachelor’s in a technical field such as electrical/automation engineering or the equivalent in technical work experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English are a must
Interest in demand response, energy systems, and the energy transition
Team player with great collaboration skills
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
Willingness to learn new things and develop yourself
Desire/ability to work in a small company environment
Availability to travel (mostly within Sweden & Denmark)
We can train qualified candidates who meet our Swedish language and technical degree requirements for the team so please apply even if you don't fit all the requirements.
Good to have skills
Experience in reserves and balancing power markets
Experience in / knowledge of electrical design- or installation and commissioning in industrial settings
Knowledge / understanding of industrial operating systems.
Knowledge of the electricity sector, ideally experience of reserves and balancing power markets
Experience in start-ups/scale-up companies
