Job description
Sympower is quickly scaling its flexible asset trading and optimization platform in Europe. As a Portfolio Analyst you provide the data, analysis and reporting foundation for portfolio‑level value. You’ll focus on the Greek market while contributing to Sympower’s overall Portfolio Management team.
You will support recommending strategies with clean, timely insights and help translate market changes into requirements for tools and processes. Working closely with the Portfolio Manager and local commercial and technical teams this function places you in the center of Sympower’s continued growth in Greece and expansion into new markets and assets.

What you will do
Analyze asset and market data to derive insights that inform trading playbooks and portfolio decisions
Build dashboards and recurring reports on performance, availability, revenues and risk indicators; automating where possible
Track market and TSO rule changes; summarize impacts and support updates to portfolio playbooks and onboarding requirements
Support the 24/7 Trading desk with fast, reliable analysis on bids, activations and settlements
Liaise with Trading desk for testing and implementation of platform feature changes due to new market rules
Collaborate with Product and Data teams to improve tools (specifications, testing, feedback)
Collaborate closely with Commercial teams to understand new clients’ operational profiles and constraints, asset characteristics, translating them into portfolio decisions
Job requirements
Fluent written & spoken English and Greek required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics or a related field
1–4 years of experience in the Greek electricity market (wholesale and/or balancing)
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel; experience with Python and PowerBI
Practical experience in a similar role: portfolio management, energy markets analysis, or asset optimization
Ability to work in our Athens office each week
Beneficial skills
Experience with AI/ML or data science workflows
Familiarity with settlements and reporting processes in balancing or ancillary services markets
