The position

We are looking for a Junior People Operations Specialist to join our international People team in our Amsterdam office! In this role you will support our People Operations Team with a focus on HR administration, payroll, onboarding and employee support.

Job requirements

What you will do

  • Onboarding & Employee experience: assist in preparing employment contracts, managing onboarding documentation, and maintaining HR systems. You’ll also help with the coordination and facilitation of our onboarding programs for new employees.

  • HR administration: support the maintenance of HR systems, update employee records, manage administration of benefits for our different locations

  • Employee support: you act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries (e.g. contracts, payroll, benefits, leave)

  • Payroll assistance: you help prepare and process the monthly payroll to ensure timely and accurate payments

  • HR Processes and documentation: you assist in improving HR policies and processes, and supporting with HR reporting and analytics

What you'll need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in HR Management

  • 0.5-1 years of experience in an HR Operations or HR Administrative, or related internship role

  • Fluent in English

  • Available to work from our office in Amsterdam at least a few days per week

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with a high level of detail

  • Passion for building relationships and providing a great employee experience

  • Ability to take ownership of tasks

  • Experience in a fast-growing start-ups preferred (but not required) 

  • Basic knowledge of Dutch labor law or any other EU country labor law is a plus but not required
