The Financial Controller is responsible for accounting and control of our entities in Europe. This includes timely closure of the accounting period, internal controls, tax reporting, accounts filling and collaboration on various initiatives. What you will do

  • Manage financial month end close processes including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations.

  • Manage monthly payroll checks and posting in multiple jurisdictions.

  • Take ownership of the quality of the accounting data, internal controls and financial compliance in several European subsidiaries. 

  • Prepare information and coordinate filling of the VAT returns.

  • Coordinate annual income tax return preparation and filling.

  • Coordinate statutory financial statement preparation.  

  • Manage subsidiaries’ liquidity.

  • Support the year-end audit for the Group. 

  • Collaborate with the local teams and wider organisations on projects with any financial insights needed both for financial planning/analytics.

  • Manage relationships with local accounting and tax advisors. 

  • Take initiatives in process improvements and support the implementations where needed.

  • Support Accounting & Reporting Manager and the larger team as needed and more!

Job requirements

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance/Accounting and/or professional accounting qualification

  • 5+ Accounting/Controlling experience in an international environment.

  • Strong technical skills (systems as well as excel/google sheets).

  • NetSuite experience is an advantage.

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as a team.

  • Detailed orientated self-starter with strong focus on timely and quality deliverables. 

  • Fluent in English. Other languages are nice to have.
