The position
Sympower is looking for a talented Strategy Manager to set the strategic direction for Sympower’s next stages of ambitious growth and geographic expansion. The Strategy Manager will lead the Strategy team of 2 within Sympower, and reports to the Head of Market Strategy. This role is intended to be based out of our Amsterdam office, but with flexibility on exact location within the Netherlands.  Join us in accelerating the energy transition!


What you will do

The Strategy Manager will lead a Strategy group within Sympower that is responsible for:

  • Drafting and updating Sympower’s strategy and strategic narrative

  • Conducting analyses and reviewing market trends to drive decision making on key strategic and operational topics

  • Developing Sympower’s positioning on key issues and providing thought leadership to support Sympower’s leadership team 

  • Translating business strategy into multi year business plan with operational targets

  • Defining Sympower’s country expansion strategy and market entry plays

  • Developing Sympower’s network of external partners and stakeholders, and representing Sympower in panels, conventions and talks

  • And more!

Job requirements

What you will need

  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience in a strategic, leadership advisory or operations focused position

  • 2+ years of experience at top tier management consulting firm

  • Strong people leadership skills, with ability to inspire and motivate a talented team

  • Interest in being hands-on with strategy, creating content and driving impact

  • Comfortable in ambiguity and able to creatively find solutions (e.g. for data scarcity)

  • Interest in working with a mission and values driven organisation, with a passion for participating in the Energy transition

  • Fluent in English and other languages are nice to have
