The position
The Senior Accountant is responsible for accounting of our key entity in the Netherlands! This includes timely closure, consolidation, tax reporting, accounts filling and collaboration with the project entity accountants. Join our growing international business, and help us accelerate the energy transition!

Job requirements

What you will do

  • Manage monthly payroll checks and posting

  • Manage financial month end close processes including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations

  • Take ownership of the quality of the accounting data in the Dutch entities and prepare VAT returns for the Netherlands

  • Together with the team lead, prepare consolidated group financial statements and be involved in year-end audits

  • Manage WKR tracking and reporting

  • Support annual income tax return preparation and filling

  • Support Accounting Team Lead and the larger team as needed and more!

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance/ Accounting and/or professional accounting qualification

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2+ years of accounting experience in the Netherlands

  • Strong knowledge of Netherlands accounting and tax law, as well as IFRS

  • Desire to be a technical expert within the team

  • Experience with consolidation and exposure to international organisations would be an advantage but not essential

  • Ability to work within Google Suite as well as NetSuite experience would be a plus

  • Fluent in spoken and written English

  • Dutch language ability a plus, but not required for the role
