Sympower is developing the commercial capabilities of the organisation for the next phase of growth and strategic direction. As a part of this, we are building a Sales Operations function and are looking for results-driven and detail-oriented Sales Operations Manager to build and manage this team. Work will include optimisation of the sales processes, implementing KPIs and dashboards to improve efficiency, capturing and embedding best practices, and supporting the sales team to meet their objectives. This position will require a hands-on problem solving mindset and experience in B2B sales operations. It is ideally suited to a strategic thinker who excels in data analysis, process improvement, and working across different functions.
The position
Sympower is looking for a talented Sales Operations Manager with over five years of experience in sales operations, or similar. Our headquarters are in Amsterdam, but there is the option of working remotely with flexibility regarding location.
As the Sales Operations Manager your main tasks will be to design, build and manage a new Sales Operations function. You will be part of the Commercial team, reporting to the Head of Commercial. You will be managing a Sales Operations Analyst. You will also be responsible for coordination with multidisciplinary teams across the organisation including strategy, marketing, data and finance.

What you will do
Design, build and manage the Sales Operations function, including the development of processes and an operating model from scratch
Training, recruitment and management of a Sales Operations team, as well as managing the onboarding of the commercial team to new ways of working around operations
Development of lead lists and analytical support for country-specific commercial strategies, through close collaboration with strategy and marketing teams
Process optimisation of sales, interacting closely with marketing and technical operations to own and report upon end-to-end process efficiency and effectiveness
Sales data analysis and forecasting to identify trends, forecast sales, track progress and identify areas for improvement. We expect you to lead on generating reports and dashboards for the commercial team.
Design and implement metrics to enable better customer and country insights, as well as support individuals to perform effectively
Ultimately responsible for the CRM which includes integration of a new CRM system as well as oversight on data accuracy, and provision of sales training on usage
Further sales improvement initiatives including team training and development, implementing new tools and technologies, and assisting in the development and execution of sales strategies and initiatives through data-driven recommendations
Job requirements
What you will need
4+ of experience in Sales Operations, or similar
Experience in a fluid environment that required an ability to problem solve and develop solutions from scratch
Data-driven and able to analyse complex information and build dashboards
Technical skills with a preference for experience working with SQL and Python
Ability to use PowerBi and experience in automating processes beneficial
Hands-on approach with ability to drive change
Exceptional stakeholder management skills
Experience in managing teams
